- SF Chronicle provides suggestions for a summer reading list consisting of California novels
- LA Times Jacket Copy offers a summer's worth of French reading (as well as a huge list of less specialized books)
- NY Times offers a rundown of what the paper's critics are reading
- NPR has a whole range of suggestions, from cookbooks to crime novels to everything in between
- Goodreads lists a slew of popular summer reading list books
- And of course there's inevitably a list or two of writers sharing their summer reading
